THE BACKGROUND OF EMI STAFF
Tom Tucker, President, has both Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. In 1958, after fulfilling his military obligation, he joined Grosch-Tucker, Inc., a major exposition service contractor at the time, established by his father in 1921. In 1960, while with Grosch-Tucker, Tom started Associated Exhibition Management, Inc. (AEMI), a multi-management company to provide management services for smaller associations who did not have the need for a full-time staff or who could not afford such an overhead and to develop, produce, and manage meetings, expositions and conventions for both trade and professional associations. In June, 1976 Grosch-Tucker was acquired by United Exposition, and one of the requirements was to divest AEMI. Tom was with United as President, Central Division, from that time until his resignation to form Exposition Management, Inc. on May 4, 1992.
Joe Tucker, CEM, Vice President, is third generation in the exposition industry. He received, in 1992, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Indiana University. He did research at Washington University in molecular biology prior to joining EMI. Joe is certified in exhibition management (CEM) and is in the process of obtaining certification as a meeting professional (CMP), to be obtained in 2009.
Christine Pauley, CEM/CMP, Meetings and Events Manager and Account Executive, has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fontbonne University in St. Louis and assists in administration of exhibit management, booth sales, meetings and events management, and housing management. Chris, certified in exhibition management (CEM), is also in the process of obtaining certification as a meeting professional (CMP), to be obtained in 2009.
Leonard Levy, Associate, also second generation, is based in New Orleans and joined Tom Tucker in 1973 as General Manager of Grosch-Tucker's facilities in New Orleans. Throughout the following years Len has worked on many meetings, events and tradeshows with Tom and is currently part of the EMI Management staff.
